Three Minds, One Mission: Make Wellness Great Again

It all started with a lot of “Let’s do it!” and… well, not much doing. Between scheduling conflicts, overthinking the concept, and highly unnecessary debates about what we should start with, we just couldn’t agree on anything. Two of us live in the same city, the third (that’s me) lives hours away, so most of our planning happened over calls and chaotic group chats that usually ended with “Bro, we really need to start this.”

But jokes aside, we quickly realized we were all after the same goal: to become better, healthier, and more grounded versions of ourselves, and to inspire others to do the same. We initially planned to meet in person (with the usual debate over which coffee shop to choose – thanks for all the recommendation, Sebi), but the distance between us got in the way. So, we decided to set up an online meeting to finally settle on a plan and map out our very first video.

For now, this article will share my personal ideas for our first video. Once we finalize everything about it, I’ll update the article with all the details.

First of all, why wellness? Why not sell pistachio croissants in the center of the city and make people feel good that way? Well, as I mentioned earlier, we share a common goal: to become better every day as individuals. Not that selling croissants is a bad thing, don’t get me wrong, but we wanted to do more. We wanted to improve each day, to enhance our health, mindset, relationships, hobbies, spiritual well being, and, overall, to shape ourselves into the people we’ve always aspired to be.

We live in Romania, and as I was researching online, I noticed there aren’t that many wellness communities out there, especially ones that cover all aspects of wellness. Sure, you can find events, organizations, and communities focused on specific areas like healthy eating, SPA, physical training, gyms, calisthenics, or other forms of exercise. However, I couldn’t find a community here in our country that brings together all the aspects I mentioned earlier in a well organized way. A community with regular events, up to date materials, and a user-friendly website or app is something I haven’t come across yet.

My plan for our community is to update the classic approach of sharing wellness information with more visually appealing content that grabs people’s attention and motivates them to improve. I also want to incorporate emotion into our videos to show that what we do is authentic. Through this, I aim to share my personal journey of transformation. I started from a very dark place, but I managed to change for the better. I found a path to light, and I’m incredibly grateful for that.

In doing so, I want people to see that no matter where you are in life, the most important thing is to start, stay consistent, and watch the results unfold. This process, like many others that truly matter, isn’t easy. But after the dedication, effort, time, and sacrifices, the results are absolutely worth it.

Now, regarding our first video, I have a few ideas. The classic approach would be a:

“Why We Started the Wellness Channel?”

or a general introduction video of our team. While that’s a solid choice, I don’t think it’s the most attention grabbing for viewers. In this type of video, we could introduce each team member, share our vision, and include some clips from the content we’ve created, along with some wellness tips and tricks. However, I was thinking it might be better to release this video after we’ve published a few of our materials.

As I started looking at what other content creators are doing in the wellness space, I came across some really great examples. One thing that’s very important to me is that our content remains authentic, and we will definitely stay true to that. But at the same time, we don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Drawing inspiration from other creators is a great way to practice and come up with fresh ideas.

Next, I’d like to share some video ideas for our first one, inspired by content creators I’ve been following for a long time.

Browney, a YouTuber who creates calisthenics and general fitness content, has some really engaging and catchy materials. Inspired by his work, I think a great first video for us could be along the lines of experimenting with something over a period of time and then showing the results for each of us. For example, Browney has created two videos like this:

I Woke Up at 5AM For 30 Days, this is what happened:

3 Guys Do 200 Push ups a Day For 30 days, These Are The Results:

These videos are engaging and spark curiosity about the results, especially because different people with different body types are taking on the challenges. Will there actually be a noticeable result, or is it just a way to get views? Personally, I believe it’s the former. It’s an informative approach that shows how you can truly improve and get in better shape.

For our first video, based on this type of content, I suggest we start with an introductory series where we each try different aspects of wellness and test the results over a period of 30 days. This could include challenges like 30 days of meditation, 30 days of journaling, 30 days of walking 10,000 steps a day, 30 days of no phone before bed, and other similar wellness topics. In each video, we would document our progress, share the benefits we’ve experienced, and show the real-life impact of these changes.

Another content creator I’ve been following for a long time and find incredibly creative is Will Tennyson. He produces a lot of gym content on YouTube, and what stands out is how he engages with people at the gym or even collaborates with celebrities. His videos are not only entertaining but also highly engaging, which makes them stand out in the fitness community.

Look for example this video:

I Tried The Rock’s Morning Routine:

Just like Browney, Will Tennyson also experiments with celebrities routines, diets, and all sorts of fitness challenges. He tests out what works for them and brings a fresh, engaging perspective to it. This approach makes his content both informative and entertaining, and I think we can take inspiration from this for our own wellness journey.

But also this one:

Including highly informative videos on the best exercises for each muscle group in the gym, presenting them in a clear and engaging way. His content is great for anyone looking to improve their workout routines and learn the most effective techniques for building muscle.

So we could create a video exploring what happens to your body when you train for 30 days without rest, or dive into busting common health myths.

Another goal I have for our community is to actively interact with people. A great example of this is a Romanian content creator named Tony Saik. His channel primarily focuses on calisthenics, but he also covers general fitness and health topics. In some of his videos, he goes out into the city, challenges people to perform exercises or lift weights, and rewards them with prizes. This interactive approach not only makes his content engaging but also motivates others to participate in fitness challenges.

I think this idea is amazing because we interact directly with people, they are testing their abilities and also have the chanse to win something. This is a nice way to motivate people.

For our first video, we could create an engaging clip where we challenge people on the streets to perform various calisthenics exercises or lift some weights. Those who manage to complete the challenge will be rewarded with a prize. Alternatively, we could ask them a series of health related questions, and if they answer enough correctly, they win a wellness themed prize. This approach is fun, interactive, and gives us a chance to engage with people while promoting the importance of fitness and health in easy way.

Another great example from the Romanian community is Doctor Mihail, a real-life doctor who runs a YouTube channel and hosts a TV show where he shares valuable health information on a variety of topics. His videos are not only well-researched but also feature impressive visuals that make complex health topics more accessible and engaging.

For example:

In this video, he explains the benefits of creatine and addresses the common question of whether it’s harmful to the human body.

Based on this, we could create videos like “The Truth About Supplements: What Really Works and What’s Just Marketing“.

Another type of content I really enjoy is from Jubilee, where they present a series of questions or statements to a group of people. Those who agree with the statement sit in a designated chair and continue the discussion, while those who disagree join the group of agreeers to further debate the idea. It creates a dynamic and engaging conversation, which is both provoking and entertaining.

For example:

In this video, participants engage in a heated debate over a series of statements, including the provocative question: Is Being Fat a Choice? The discussion is provoking, intriguing, and offers a range of perspectives that keep the viewer captivated.

Based on this type of content, we could create a video where we ask a group of students from our country various provoking questions or present different statements for them to debate. This approach would not only spark interesting conversations but also engage a wider audience, drawing more people into these important wellness topics. It would be captivating, interactive, and encourage viewers to reflect on their own opinions.
